Sometimes a "perfect" horse isn't exactly perfect in every way. You may be certain that the horse you buy is "the one," but she may not be trained well, if at all; even if she was, you may discover after a few rides that your new friend has some very bad—possibly even dangerous—habits. You might want to help her overcome them, but you either don't succeed, don't know how, don't have the patience, or don't have the time. If any of these are the case, don't worry—Double H Stable has you covered!
For over 25 years, Will Burke has been involved in horse training. He trains horses and riders, teaching practical and necessary skills for riding. Will develops the horse to its fullest potential, finishing a horse to ride on a loose rein at all three gaits, side-pass, have vertical and lateral flexion, get gates, and quietly trail ride (excellent references available upon request). In addition to starting young horses, Will also takes so-called "problem" horses and those in need of retraining, so please don't hesitate to bring your friend to us for help! Horses should be a pleasant part of our lives, not a burden, and horse training makes that possible.
So what should you do if you're satisfied with your best friend's training but just don't have the space at home for him? We can help with that, too! Double H Stable offers horse boarding (stall board only) for a separate fee, which includes the use of our 250 acres of trails to feed every craving you may have for trail rides. And for those who are just getting started with horses, we offer hour-long riding lessons for reasonable fees.
